I loved this classic fictional work by such a great author. Over the years, I had heard it said that Dorian Grey had done a deal with the devil for his soul. I discovered that scenario doesn't exist: Wilde implies the deal by the fact of Dorian Grey wishing out loud for his portrait to age while he stays young. Unfortunately for him, with the price of eternal youth comes the price of becoming inherently more evil as the years pass. It is hard not to dislike intensely Grey's character : in this Wilde has met his author's mark. The twist at the end is wonderful. How much evil there can be in people!
