It's done. Sent my first manuscript, Harriet and the Secret Rings, to an Australian children's book publisher. Received the final edit and I'm stepping out in faith. It's a fantasy time-travel adventure. The discovery of a magical old book with three secret rings leads Harriet and her friend Will to adventures galore as they travel from ancient Rome to Philippi and on to Sherwood Forest. Their school history project is in the bag...if they survive their travels! Now a long wait for the publishing outcome. I know it's a long road, often fraught with rejection, but I've learned much from many professionals in the last 18 months. The number one piece of advice that keeps appearing is not to be put off, but embrace rejection and see it as a way to improve your writing and keep moving. Onward and upward!
