How often do you read a book all the way through, only to be disenchanted by the ending? I read one recently, A Spool of Blue Thread, by Anne Tyler (see my review on Goodreads.) I thought that the family involved in the plot-line would do something great, like becoming less dysfunctional. I got to the last page and thought "What?" It was also, to my mind, unresolved. I'm sharing a blog from Pro-Writing Aid with some good advice for making your ending as impactful as the beginning of your novel.
